Our turnaround time is as follows: for scanning of standard photographs, 8
business days on scanning projects 350 and under; 8-13 business days for projects
between 351 and 800 photos; 15-20 business days for projects between
801 and 2000 photos. Slides and other nontraditional
media additional 7-30 days.

24-hour turn over time is possible for slideshows with
no more than 100 scanned photographs.

DPI stands for Dots per Inch:

A color image is just like a grayscale image but every dot includes a color value.
Since TV's and computer monitors use three colors; red, green and blue, the
images are usually stored in these three colors.

This requires three times as much storage space as a grayscale image. To get that
good quality, color images should be scanned at 36-bit, we use 48-bit color with
the least amount of JPG compression possible.

Compression: Purpose

Due to its highly efficient way of compressing images, it is mostly used for large photos.

Color images are rarely scanned with higher resolution than 300 dpi, unless you
want to resize them. Then 600 dpi is recommended.

DVD player or any computer.

Redeye Removal

Red eye is caused when light from the flash hits the retina in your model's eyes.
With the flash being so close to your lens, its light went through your subjects
iris, lit up the retina which is red in color due to its blood vessels and captured
that redness on film.
